MEET JOHN HARLAN

            I have been licensed to practice law in Oklahoma since 1977.  I have offices in Sapulpa and Pryor and represent people from the 15 counties of northeastern Oklahoma including the entire Cherokee Nation.  My principal area of experience has been in the "medical-legal" area of law, dealing primarily with Social Security disability, Workers' Compensation, and Personal Injury claims.  I have handled well over 4,000 cases involving medical-type claims, and am very familiar with the various medical specialties and many of the physicians in Northeastern Oklahoma.

 

            I am a member of professional groups for these areas: Social Security Disability (National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives - NOSSCR) and Personal Injury (Oklahoma Association for Justice - OAJ). I regularly attend training sessions with these groups to stay up with current changes in these specific areas and to share expertise with other lawyers who regularly handle these types of cases.

 

            As in any line of work, experience is often the best teacher and experience is crucial for navigating this complicated process of filing for disability.  Having handled well over 4,000 Social Security, Workers' Compensation, and Personal Injury cases during my over 40 years of law practice, I have learned a great deal about the best  ways to obtain the maximum result, and at the same time make sure that you understand what is happening. 

 

            I do not have any other attorneys in my office.  You will meet with me personally at your initial appointment and I will be the one to prepare you for your hearing and I will be the attorney at your hearing.   I am your attorney from the start through the hearing.
